Mathematics is so much more than getting to a right answer. Mathematics is a tool that empowers all learners to think critically and solve real-world problems. As an educator and researcher, I have dedicated my career to making math accessible and meaningful for all students. By fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment, I strive to ensure that every student can harness the power of math to expand their horizons and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

I had the privilege of sharing my personal story at the NCSM Uncovering Stories event in Washington, D.C., in 2023, where I immediately felt welcomed into the NCSM community. Since becoming a member, I’ve found NCSM to be the perfect fit for me as an elementary math teacher. This organization has provided me with opportunities to grow as a math leader and share that knowledge with others.
