NCSM elections are run annually from February 15 - March 15.
The 2026 NCSM election closed on March 15th, 2026. Eligible voting members will receive an email with a link to the electronic ballot when voting opens.
To be eligible for nomination, candidates must meet the membership requirements outlined in the NCSM Constitution, Article V, Section 4:
“A candidate for any office shall have been a member of NCSM in good standing for at least the previous year before being placed in nomination.”
For the 2026 nomination cycle, candidates must have been NCSM members in good standing by November 15, 2025. This date is one year prior to the nominations deadline and has already passed.
What does this mean?
If a member is nominated on October 28, 2026, they must have been a member in good standing by November 15, 2025. Members who did not meet this requirement by November 15, 2025 are not eligible for nomination this year, even if they have since joined, renewed, or become active members.

If you are not eligible for this year’s election, you can prepare for a future nomination by ensuring your NCSM membership is active and in good standing.
To vote, members must be in good standing as of January 15, 2027. Eligible members will receive notifications and reminders to vote.
